The app uses broadcast and multicast for communication over the same local network (WiFi) and unicast for point-to-point communication, which also works on GSM. Uses Speex (<a href="https://www.speex.org/">https://www.speex.org/</a>) for voice encoding which can be adapted to the bandwidth.
